View the library catalogue by clicking 'Find a Book' on the main menu. 

Reserve and renew books by logging into your online library account with your Reader Code and PIN. You'll get these in your welcome email when you join the library. 

Request books that the library doesn't stock and we will source them from another library for you. If you want the library to buy a book, you can suggest a book for our stock.

To read an e-book, you will need an NHS Open Athens account. You can self-register for an account using your work email address.

Choose to read e-books online or download them to your tablet or computer. You can borrow an e-book for up to a fortnight if you download it, or three days if you read it online.

Search the Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS) to find the latest research and evidence on databases such as PsycInfo, CINAHL, Medline and Embase.  

Login to HDAS using you NHS Open Athens username and password. If you do not have an Open Athens account you can self-register.

Easy Evidence Search

Our Easy Evidence Search tool allows you to search all library resources in one place.

Search for books, e-books and articles on a particular topic by typing keywords into the Easy Evidence Search bar on the library homepage.

Use the 'Refine Results' column on the left hand side to limit your results by date and source type.

DynaMed Plus

DynaMed Plus is a ‘Point of Care’ tool which provides quick answers to clinical queries, summaries of a wide variety of health topics, graphics and images and calculators.

Summaries include information on diagnosis, management and provides links to high quality patient information.

Login to DynaMed Plus using your NHS Open Athens account. You can also download the DynaMed Plus mobile app and access content offline.

You can join the library whilst on placement in the Trust. We hold copies of the "Face to face: psychiatric interviewing for diagnosis" DVD on interviewing skills.

Patient Information

Download the library's list of quality patient information sources.

Search NICE Evidence and filter your results to show patient information only. Select the ‘information for the Public’ under the ‘filter results by’ column on the left hand side of your results.

Use the patient information section of DynaMed Plus, featured within the overviews of conditions and treatments. Search for the condition or treatment and select the ‘patient information’ option on the left hand menu.
